Chapter 442 - Gu Nanshengs Reminder

“Master.”

Feng Tianlan was pondering this matter when she heard Pang Tai’s voice out of nowhere. She frowned. The voice appeared to have come from the roof, so she went up the roof to take a look.

“Master, you are finally here! Quick, pass on your Pill Refining Methods to me!” Looking at Feng Tianlan, Pang Tai’s eyes brightened with child-like excitement. He looked so awed by her it was as though he couldn’t wait to jump forward and hug her thighs.

“Why are you so persistent about wanting me as your master?” There was an obvious difference between their ages and strengths after all.

“Master’s Pill Refining Method is totally new and interesting. I have never seen such a Pill Refining Method before. That’s why... ” Pang Tai sounded was rather shy talking about this. He had been a Pill Refining nerd ever since he was born. He was addicted to Pill Refining. If he wasn’t able to learn her Pill Refining Methods, he would rather die.

“Is that really how it is?” Feng Tianlan was doubtful about this.

“What else could it be?” Pang Tai asked in a puzzled tone. He really just wanted to learn the Pill Refining Method.

Feng Tianlan raised her head to look at him and asked the question that she had been wanting to ask since the day of the discipleship induction. “I didn’t know that the master of the Flying Frost Pavilion’s headmaster is still alive, nor the fact that he is an Advanced-stage Spiritual Grandmaster. Why have I not heard about you before?”

Qi Hongan’s master had lost contact with the Flying Frost Pavilion for the past twenty years. Now that he had suddenly reappeared, it was normal for anyone to wonder why.

Pang Tai seemed stumped by the question. Then he said simply, “I was living in isolation. I can’t tell you more about this, I have my reasons.”

Although she had honored Feng Tianlan as his master, there were still some things that he could not tell her.

“I have no intention of taking in disciples...”

Peng Tai said anxiously, “Master!”

“However, you helped me this time, so I will repay you with this favor.” Feng Tianlan took out two pieces of paper from her sleeves. “Every pill has its own Refining Method. This are the prescriptions for the Vitality Enhancing Pill and the Spirit Boosting Pill. There is also a Fire of Pill that helps with Pill Refining.”

Pang Tai took the two pieces of papers from her and said hopefully, “I have attended the discipleship induction with you, and you have accepted me as your disciple. That makes you my master now. This has nothing to do with any other incident. I am also able to see through the tiniest details and be a fair and just leader. I will not interfere with your objective of being in the Flying Frost Pavilion.”

The Vitality Enhancing Pill and the Spirit Boosting Pill were pills that he knew how to refine, but he believed that the prescriptions Feng Tianlan had given him would be different.

“Up to you.” Feng Tianlan frowned. It seemed as though he really did overhear her conversation with the secret guards.

“Master, it is better for you to come to the Small Beast Forest to teach me your Pill Refining Methods. I can’t keep leaving the Forbidden Island. Having left the island this time and causing such a scene, I am afraid that—” Pang Tai stopped abruptly and did not continue his sentence.

Feng Tianlan thought about this for a while and nodded. “Alright.”

Although she didn’t know if Pang Tai was telling the truth, she did have the intention of returning the favor.

“Thank you, Master!” Pang Tai held the two prescriptions close to his chest like they were his beloved treasures and disappeared immediately. But after walking a distance away, he suddenly remembered that there was one more thing he wanted to ask her.

Feng Tianlan was just about to go back to her room when she heard Gu Nansheng’s voice coming from downstairs. “Great-Grandmaster, do you mind coming down from the roof and having a cup of tea with me?”

Being greeted as “Great-Grandmaster” made the corners of her mouth twitch slightly. Feng Tianlan did a flip and jumped downstairs.

“In the beginning, I intended to be your Eldest Senior Sister. Never in my life have I thought that I would actually become your great grand-disciple,” Gu Nansheng said enigmatically as she poured tea.

“I am really thankful, Miss Gu, for your kindness that day,” Feng Tianlan said as sincerely as she could.

Gu Nansheng gave out a cold “humph” and replied, “I can scarcely accept Great-Grandmaster’s gratitude.”

As she finished speaking, she watched Feng Tianlan drink her tea without saying another word. But after a moment of silence, she couldn’t help herself and blurt out, “You must be careful of my master and Lin Suyin.”
