Chapter 5949: Why Didn’t I Notice Back Then?

“I am not familiar.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“He was a mysterious cultivator and could have hailed from either place. Strong and had an incredible lifespan, he forcefully combined the two lineages into one, Radiant Longevity School.” Chu Zhu said.

“So that’s the origin.” Li Qiye said.

“The monarch returned to the ruins and excavated a living mecha.” Chu Zhu was moved when talking about this legend.

“What was it?” Li Qiye asked.

“I’ve mentioned it before, it was an incredible and gigantic mecha, an overlord-level existence known as Silver Dragon Mecha.” Chu Zhu answered.

“Silver Dragon Mecha.” Li Qiye repeated and stroked his chin: “Why leave this behind?”

“What do you mean, Young Noble?” Chu Zhu didn’t understand.

“It’s nothing, what did it do afterward?” Li Qiye asked.

“Tales of its domination ensued during Moshi’s era and Devil Desolate War. Radiant Longevity Monarch made a name for himself with the help of the mecha but for some reason, the mecha sided with Moshi. It killed many emperors and Ancestors before becoming crazy. It summoned vectors and drained numerous areas into nothingness.” Chu Zhu said.

“Absorbing the world.” Li Qiye interjected.

“Fortunately, Desolate Ancestor finished a cultivation session and appeared just in time, using the power of tribulation to slay the mecha.” Chu Zhu let out a sigh: “She firmly established herself as the strongest Ancestor in Three Immortals, but the battle left behind a lasting injury, one of the reasons why she lost to Moshi later.”

Some considered the battle between the mecha and Desolate Ancestor part of the war\'s climax. The resulting injury affected her cultivation and made her unable to defeat Moshi.

Certain sources believed that if she had won, Immortals Slaughtered War wouldn’t have happened and Three Immortals wouldn’t have been fragmented.

Li Qiye wasn’t interested in these fights and focused on the ruins instead.

‘Why didn’t I notice it back then?’ He murmured to himself.

He was the “immortal” who put an end to that kingdom without taking a second look. Everlasting Kingdom was utterly insignificant.

Memories resurfaced and he should have noticed something strange about their Silver Dragon Legion. It seemed that there were things buried beneath.

He glanced at the sky and stroked his chin: “Hmm, what was he searching for, and was it only exploration? Another goal or leaving something behind?”

Secrets here were unavailable to regular cultivators, but Li Qiye had his speculations. The guy ascended to the upper world and was mighty indeed. Unfortunately, two hands couldn’t deal with four fists so he was still eaten by the old geezers.

Li Qiye didn’t bother going into further details but now, he thought he should have reflected on this. The details seemed worthwhile.

Why did the person ascend? What was the path? From the clues left behind, he certainly came here and left something behind. Why did he travel so far? Was it only out of curiosity and exploration? Why leave things in Three Immortals and not his own epoch?

“Young Noble, who are you talking about?” Chu Zhu saw Li Qiye murmuring to himself and asked.

“It’s nothing.” Li Qiye shook his head and smiled.

From what Li Qiye knew about this person, his plans and pursuits were different from other supreme existences. He didn’t need to leave anything behind or a backup plan, but this didn’t seem to be the case.

“Ancestor, will we participate in the conference then? Perhaps Radiant Longevity School will start excavating again.” A disciple asked Chu Zhu.

“You all want to see the ruins too?” Chu Zhu seemed unhappy.

Her gaze alone caused them to shudder and prostrate on the ground in fear.

“We, we have discussed this.” One of them spoke without confidence: “Everyone says that these ruins are special. The last time was the mecha and more recently, they returned with special pills. We want to give it a try too.”

“To revitalize the clan.” Chu Zhu said.

The old men became afraid because she had been gone for so long. They were unfamiliar with this ancestor.

Nevertheless, they had nothing but respect for her because she should be at the Grand Emperor level.

None dared to lie so one of them said: “Yes, we are planning on going to the ruins and Insane Gate as well, to see if there are clues regarding Insane Spear. It might be there.”

“The glory of the past cannot be forgotten.” Chu Zhu said.

The old men nodded after hearing this.

“What good will it do? Can you all become as strong as the great commander?” Chu Zhu asked.
