In addition to the nine wristwatches, there was a folded note that read a few words from William\'s new Master.

These might be of use to you, Disciple William. Over the next few months, I hope you can surprise me by further improving their usefulness.

Other than the Space and Life Dials, each wristwatch affected a Basic Element. William realized the rewards this time were specifically handpicked with him in mind. When did he write this note?

If the Light and Sound Element Dials were also present, William would have a wristwatch pertaining to every Element he had used since entering the Gravitas Ruins.

He didn\'t bother wasting Potential Points to appraise their effects, since they were likely the same or similar to the effects of the Time Dial.

I wonder if Master has any more of these dials...It would be nice if I could gather a few for my other Elements.

William\'s knowledge of Riyald was limited. Other than learning his name during the tour and remembering that he was the owner of the Gravitas Ruins, he didn\'t know much about the old man.

Riyald seemed to have a great interest in conducting experiments of various types, and his understanding of Arrays was incredible, so it wouldn\'t be far-fetched to think that Riyald had created the Dials himself.

I\'ll ask him tomorrow. For now, I need to figure out how to make use of these...William thought has he fiddled with the Dials.

There wasn\'t enough space on his arms to wear each wristwatch, and even if he managed to do so, it would look incredibly goofy. While William was never bothered by how he looked to others, he knew it would become both a weakness and a source of human greed if others were to see his arm loaded with priceless treasures.

If I\'m going to use these wristwatches all at once, I\'m going to need to make them easier to carry...

While he could ask the System for an easy solution to his problem, William felt that relying on it too much would be a waste. The stronger he became, the more William felt that overusing the System was a bad thing.

What if he was in a situation where he couldn\'t use the System?

William kept this in mind while storing eight of the nine Space Rings, leaving the Wind Dial out for testing. He wanted to learn how the item functioned first, but he also wanted to limit the consequences if he broke one of the precious items.

Wind was one of William\'s least useful Elements in his opinion, since the Earth Element was great for defense, the Fire Element was his favorite, and Water synergized well with Earth and Lightning.

William didn\'t use his Ice Element much either, but it was incredibly versatile, useful for both attack, defense, and restrictive effects.

The Plant Element was one of William\'s most important basic Elements, since it was incredibly useful for the creation of Array Puppets. Thinking of this reminded William that his Array Puppets were overdue for an upgrade, since he could now create Complete Runes.

He didn\'t ask the System for the answer, but he did have another idea in mind.

System, can you notify me if my next actions will break or damage the Wind Dial?

-Request requires 25 Potential Points. Yes/No?

William was glad the System had reduced the cost of the Ask Function, otherwise his request would have cost fifty Points.

Confirm.

-Host will be notified when the Wind Dial is at risk of being damaged for the next week.

So it\'s on a time-limit. It seems the System was anticipating a loophole I hadn\'t even thought of.

If William had asked the System to monitor the status of all his equipment, the lack of a time limit meant it would notify him the moment something was about to happen no matter how much time had passed.

Clearly this could be abused by asking the System to monitor his clothing, which would alert him of an incoming enemy attack if he was sleeping or otherwise.

William would be seeing Riyald tomorrow morning, so a week was more than enough time at the moment. He started his experiment with a visual inspection, making use of his Vision Talent to see the incredibly small workings of the wristwatch.

The central portion of the wristwatch was much too complicated for William to understand at the moment, so he switched the target of his focus to the band whose purpose was to secure the watch to his wrist.

The band was made up of many small greenish-yellow plastic links that were rectangular in shape. The links were very ugly, but when William held them up close to his eye, he noticed that they were covered in Perfect Arrays whose purpose weren\'t yet clear.

The choice of color was obvious, since that was the same color of Wind Mana Particles, but William felt it was a bit unnecessary. Why not inscribe the word "Wind" into the watch somewhere, rather than changing the color of the item?

William focused on the smallest links at the end of the band, memorizing each Rune of the Perfect Array perfectly. Each Rune was easily distinguishable, most of which were Runes of Mana Filtering or Mana Absorbtion, but he couldn\'t figure out their overall purpose.

He tried to create paper using wood from the Plant Element, but the process was much more complex than he imagined, and he only succeeded in creating a thin piece of wood.

It\'ll have to do.

William heated up the tip of his finger with the Fire Element and used a weak version of his Flame Knife Spell to recreate a non-functional form of the Array on the piece of wood, albeit larger than before.

He repeated this process for the next few hours, filling the floor of his new room with wooden plates that represented a different link of the wristwatch band. While he created each new wooden plate, he made sure to keep them arranged in a manner that resembled the original shape of the wristwatch band.

William finished building the wooden plates four hours later. His speed was quite impressive, since he had essentially built almost a thousand Perfect Arrays in a single day. If he hadn\'t upgraded his Arrays Talent, this process probably would have taken him at least three days.

He stepped back to inspect his work. His recreated versions of the Arrays were much larger and all visible at the same time unlike the wristwatch, which made understanding the purpose of the band much easier.

As William looked at the arrangement of wooden plates, his eyes widened.

It\'s not just meant for filtering the Wind Mana, it\'s an amplifier!
