Chapter 7: Trying dresses

"This is our ride?" I asked, a bit awed by the vehicle.

Anara nodded. "Yes, Lady Elara. Please, get in."

I slid into the backseat, sinking into the soft leather. The interior was just as impressive as the exterior, with polished wood accts and state-of-the-art technology built into the dashboard. Anara joined me, and the car smoothly pulled away from the castle, heading towards the town.

The demon realm, Abyssia, was a stark contrast to the human world. As we drove through the winding roads, I marveled at the landscape. The sky was a deep shade of crimson, casting an eerie glow over everything. The terrain was rugged, with jagged mountains and dse forests of dark, twisted trees.

Despite the foreboding atmosphere, there was a certain beauty to it all—a wild, untamed allure that was both captivating and intimidating.

We passed through several small villages, each one bustling with activity. Demons of all shapes and sizes wt about their daily lives, their appearances varying wildly. Some had horns and tails, others had wings or scales. It was a surreal sight, like something out of a fantasy novel.

"Welcome to the town of Elarion," Anara said as we tered a larger settlemt. The town was a mix of old-world charm and modern sophistication. Gothic-style buildings with ornate carvings stood alongside sleek, contemporary structures.

The streets were lined with shops and stalls selling everything from exotic fruits to chanted trinkets. The air was filled with the sounds of lively chatter and the occasional roar of a distant creature.

We finally arrived at a boutique nestled in the heart of the town. The storefront was elegant, with large windows displaying beautiful gowns and dresses. A sign above the door read "Draekel\'s Designs."

Anara led me inside, where a bell chimed softly as we tered. The interior was lavish, with plush carpets, crystal chandeliers, and racks of exquisite clothing. A tall, slder demon with pale blue skin and sharp features approached us, his eyes gleaming with interest.

"Ah, Lady Elara, welcome," he said, bowing slightly. "I am Draekel. It\'s an honor to assist you today."

"Thank you," I said, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "I\'m here to try on some dresses."

"Of course," Draekel said smoothly. "This way, please."

He led us to a fitting room lined with mirrors and luxurious seating. As I took a seat, Draekel clapped his hands, and several assistants appeared, each carrying a differt dress.

"The que has selected a few options for you to try," Draekel explained. "Shall we begin?"

I nodded, and the first dress was brought forward. It was a deep emerald gre, made of shimmering silk that flowed like water. The bodice was adorned with delicate gold embroidery, and the skirt flared out in a cascade of layers.

I stepped into the dress, and the assistants helped me fast it. I turned to face the mirrors, my breath catching at the sight. The dress was beautiful, the rich color highlighting my new features. But it felt too grand, too overwhelming for someone like me.

"What do you think?" Draekel asked, his eyes appraising.

"It\'s beautiful," I said, hesitating. "But I don\'t know if it\'s me."

Anara nodded in agreemt. "Perhaps something a bit simpler?"

Draekel smiled. "Of course. Let\'s try the next one."

The second dress was a pale blue, with a fitted bodice and a flowing, chiffon skirt. The neckline was adorned with tiny, sparkling crystals that caught the light. It was more understated than the first dress, but still elegant.

I slipped into it, and as I looked at myself in the mirror, I felt a bit more comfortable. The soft color and simpler design suited me better, but it still didn\'t feel quite right.

"It\'s lovely," I said, "but maybe something with a bit more flair?"

Draekel nodded thoughtfully. "I have just the thing."

The third dress was a striking crimson, made of a rich velvet that clung to my curves. The neckline plunged daringly, and the skirt was slit high on one side, revealing a glimpse of my leg. It was bold and dramatic, unlike anything I had ever worn before.

I hesitated before trying it on, but as soon as I did, I felt a rush of confidce. The dress was undiably sexy, and I couldn\'t help but admire the way it made me look.

Anara raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on her lips. "Well, that\'s certainly differt."

I blushed, feeling a mix of pride and embarrassmt. "It\'s a bit... much."

Draekel chuckled. "It is certainly a statemt piece. But perhaps we should try one more."

The final dress was brought out, and I felt my breath catch at the sight of it. It was a soft ivory, made of the finest silk and lace. The bodice was intricately embroidered with delicate floral patterns, and the skirt flowed gracefully, ding in a subtle train. The dress was both elegant and ethereal, like something out of a fairy tale.

I stepped into the dress, and as the assistants fasted it, I turned to look in the mirror. The transformation was breathtaking. The dress fit me perfectly, acctuating my figure without being too revealing. The soft color complemted my dark hair and red eyes, and the intricate details made it look like a work of art.

"This... this is perfect," I said, feeling a lump in my throat.

Anara nodded, her expression approving. "I think we\'ve found the one."

Draekel smiled, clearly pleased. "I\'m glad you like it, Lady Elara. You look stunning."

I turned to Anara, my excitemt tempered by a sudd realization. "But where is the demon que? Shouldn\'t she be here to approve it?"

Anara shook her head. "She has some work to deal with. She trusts your judgmt. Just don\'t worry."

I nodded, feeling a mix of relief and disappointmt. I took one last look at myself in the mirror, trying to imagine what it would be like to wear this dress on my wedding day. The thought was both thrilling and terrifying.

As we left the boutique, I couldn\'t help but feel a sse of anticipation. Despite my fears and uncertainties, there was something about this place, this new life, that was beginning to intrigue me. And as much as I tried to dy it, a part of me was curious about the demon que and the future that awaited us.
