Chapter 547 - 547

"What did you want to know about them?" Sister Emilia asked.

"I don\'t know, just what they were like I guess." Camilla said with a shrug. She really wasn\'t sure what she wanted to learn about her brothers, but something kept telling her that she needed to learn more about their lives without her.

"Alright. I guess I\'ll start with how I met your brothers." Sister Emilia said with a shrug.

Camilla nodded and listened intently.

"I was actually classmates with Benedict and not Aiden. So it was Benedict that I had met first." Sister Emilia explained. "It was through Benedict that I met your brother."

"So you are older than me? You are Benedict\'s age." Camilla said slowly.

"Yes." Sister Emilia said with a nod.

"You honestly don\'t look old." Camilla said with a smile. "When I saw you I thought you were an actress dressed as a nun." Camilla said laughing.

"That is not the first time I have heard that." Sister Emilia said, laughing as well.

"Did you really leave because Aiden broke your heart?" Camilla asked, she wanted to know the truth, and not Benedict\'s one sided story.

"That was one reason, but there were many." Sister Emilia said with a frown. "Aiden was a different person back then. You need to understand that Camilla."

Camilla nodded, knowing how much a person could change in a few years.

"When we were younger, it was Benedict that was the broken and angsty one." Sister Emilia said with a laugh. "He didn\'t have a lot of friends and people kept avoiding him because he was this emo kid back when emo wasn\'t even in."

"I could see Benedict as the sad brooding type." Camilla said with a grin. "As a rich man a lot of women would line up for the rich brooding CEO."

Sister Emilia laughed at Camilla\'s comment.

"He used to talk about you a lot though." Sister Emilia said as her tone turned serious. "He would tell me how he was sure you were still alive, that you must have survived."

"I thought he didn\'t think I had survived? I thought that was something he realized later on?" Camilla asked Sister Emilia.

"No, well at first when we were younger he insisted you were alive." Sister Emilia said, shaking her head. "Then a few years later he seemed darker, sader for some reason. I think at this point Aiden had managed to convince him that you were dead."

"Aiden really poisoned his mind." Camilla said with a frown.

"I think it was your grandfather that poisoned them both." Sister Emilia explained.

"You met him?" Camilla asked, she was curious about this mysterious grandfather of thiers.

"Yes. Many times." Sister Emilia said with a nod. "He liked me, I think it was mainly because I belonged to the Lobo family who are very important in this province."

"Some people just put too much importance on the family name, they don\'t even care to check the personality." Camilla said, shaking her head.

"Aiden was quite nice at first. He was a real gentleman. He was sad, but nice." Sister Emilia said as she recalled her memories of the brothers.

"They arrived right after your parents\' death. So you could just imagine how sad they were." Sister Emilia explained. "But I remember Aiden helping me out one day. You see, to kids, your family name didn\'t matter. All they saw was that I was some skinny kid that didn\'t wear anything branded."

"The Lobos also followed poverty training?" Camilla asked, she knew most rich families pampered their sons and daughter, so it was rare to hear about one getting bullied.

"In a way. But not the Lobos, it was my father\'s family. They believed that we didn\'t need the most popular brands or the most lavish anything, which is true when  you think about it." Sister Emilia said with a shrug.

"So what happened?" Camilla asked.

"Well, some kids took my books and threw my bag in the trash can." Sister Emilia said with a frown. "I was crying, when a handsome young man approached me and checked up on me."

"Aiden?" Camilla asked.

"No, Benedict." Sister Emilia said with a sad smile.

"The bullies came back, and it was Aiden that stood up for me." Sister Emilia explained. "He protected me and Benedict, he took their insults and their punches. The Ortiz family was rich and popular in this province, but those bullies didn\'t care."

"I can\'t imagine Aiden being -" Camilla paused trying to think about the right word to say.

"Being that nice? That caring? That human?" Sister Emilia asked. "I can\'t believe how he turned out."

"Was he this cold and evil when you returned from the convent?" Camilla asked the nun.

"No. He wasn\'t this bad. He was cold and distant, but not evil." Sister Emilia said, shaking her head. "I don\'t think anyone is genuinely evil, Camilla. As long as we are alive we have a chance to change ourselves, to save ourselves, I think Aiden can still change."

"Aren\'t you mad about what he did to Jam?" Camilla asked in shock.

"I was furious!" Sister Emilia said angrily. "Don\'t you dare think I was okay with what he did. He will pay for his actions, someday. But it is not our place to deal out punishment. We can only hope that people like him will change and get better."

"I don\'t understand how you can hope for him to get better." Camilla said, shaking her head.

"Because I know Aiden is capable of becoming a better person." Sister Emilia said with a sad smile. "I\'ve seen the best of him when all he has shown people is the bad. He went bad when he used to be good."

"Emilia." Camilla said, unsure about what to say next.

"Camilla, he went bad because he thought you were murdered, anyone would lose their minds knowing someone they loved had died." Sister Emilia said. "I hope he can change back."

"I find it hard to see." Camilla said.

"He isn\'t all bad Camilla." Sister Emilia said, placing a hand on Camilla\'s shoulder.
