Chapter 698 - Making the Tianhai Secret Realm His Own

Chapter 698: Making the Tianhai Secret Realm His Own

There were several reasons for someone to further support the growth of one’s powers, yet the main method of doing so still lied in one’s daily training. Being able to increase one’s rate of daily training at 30 percent was indeed a considerable improvement.

Lu Xuan would have been able to create one such secret realm back in his past life, but he hardly had any reason to have done so back then.

However, such a secret realm was naturally hard to come by right now.

With the help of that secret realm, Lu Xuan deemed that it wouldn’t have taken him too long to finally reach the completion of his cultivation in the Divine Transformation Realm.

Such a realm would’ve saved him a considerable amount of time.

The Medicine Man slowly said, “As long as you’re willing to accept my terms, this secret realm will be yours.”

Lu Xuan briefly paused before he said, “Alright, I agree to your terms. Currently, however, I probably lack the power to kill the leader of the Divine Blood Church. Even if I were to help you exact your revenge, it could probably take years.”

The Medicine Man then said, “That won’t be an issue. You’re probably still very young right now. It would only take a moment for someone of your caliber.” For someone of your potential, it would only be a matter of time. While I may not live to see that day come to pass, the thought of dragging that scumbag into Hell with me is enough to give me the utmost pleasure.”

Upon imagining what would’ve happened when that day came to pass, a twisted and ferocious smile grew on the Medicine Man’s face. He looked rather sinister with such a smile.

It was obvious that he despised the Divine Blood Church and its leader with the passion of a thousand suns.

Even if the endeavor itself was hard to pull off, the Medicine Man still believed that he had to give it his all.

The Medicine Man said, “However, I’ll need you to swear on your primordial spirit that one day, you’ll become the leader of the Divine Blood Church once you’re strong enough to do so. Should you fail to do so, you’ll be dragged down into the depths of Hell.”

His request was neither easy nor difficult to fulfill. The only thing that Lu Xuan needed to get rid of that leader of the Divine Blood Church was a sufficient level of power.

Lu Xuan hardly cared about something like that. He was completely confident in his ability to do this.

If he couldn’t take out even a leader of one such cult, then being a Celestial Lord wouldn’t have meant that much.

The leader of the Divine Blood Church was considered to be far above the rest of the Holy Sun Continent. One could’ve even said that he was currently one of the strongest existences in the world.

However, Lu Xuan saw him as nothing more than a slightly larger pest that would’ve taken a mere moment to kill.

“Alright, I shall swear on it. Once I have enough power to destroy the leader of the Divine Blood Church, I shall definitely do that. Otherwise, I shall be cast to the depths of Hell.” Lu Xuan said all of that solemnly, even though there was no way such a thing could have even happened to him in the first place.

He had yet to reach the level where his words would’ve invoked the laws of the universe to bear down on him. Something like that might have actually happened in his past life, which meant that he would have needed to make good on his word or otherwise suffer the wrath of the universe itself.

At his current level of power, however, he was far from capable of such a thing. Even so, swearing on one’s own primordial spirit would’ve still worked. If he didn’t follow through with his vow, he would face the consequences that would negatively affect his leveling. Even though the consequences would be negligible when nothing happens, this would be a problem during key moments. Such effects would’ve led to the development of his inner demons.

Hardly anything else mattered more to a cultivator.

Even so, that was hardly a concern for Lu Xuan. He had already become an archenemy of the Divine Blood Church, to begin with.

It was especially so in Zhou Sulong’s case, who was probably of such a high status in the cult that he could’ve been considered one of the most important people to be fostered. Despite all of that, Lu Xuan still killed Zhou Sulong.

It would have been an absolute joke if the Divine Blood Church were to just let it slide like that.

“Very well, I’ll likely be at ease. I shall bestow upon you the method to control the entire secret realm.”

The Medicine Man nodded in satisfaction. He didn’t know if Lu Xuan would keep his word, but he at least still had considerably more hope to exact his revenge.

He then taught Lu Xuan everything that he had to know to control the secret realm. Lu Xuan knew enough to easily tell that the Medicine Man was hardly holding anything back.

Lu Xuan easily picked up on how to control the entire place.

“Then I’ll leave the rest in your hands, friend.”

The Medicine Man cupped his hands, smiling as he dispersed into blots of light in midair that spread all over the place.

Lu Xuan then looked at the place where the Medicine Man disappeared and said, “Now that I have gained one such opportunity from you, I shall definitely get rid of that leader of the Divine Blood Church for you in the future. I promise.”

He then launched himself into the air right away, shooting into the distance like a beam of light.

At that moment, the Geng Metal beast, which initially been immobilized by Zhou Sulong’s sealing talismans, roared and chased after him after having broken through the seals.

Lu Xuan turned around and clapped down at the beast.

The spirit qi of the entire place instantly gathered in his hand, then surged into the Geng Metal beast through his attack.

Boom!

The beast was then sent flying with a roaring boom.

All of that terrifying sharpened qi around the beast had almost instantly shredded the huge hand conjured by qi that Lu Xuan sent at it.

Lu Xuan chuckled as he said, “Geng Metal qi, huh? This should be interesting.”

The Geng Metal was truly one of the best metals found in the west. He thought it was awfully wasteful to use such precious metals to create a Geng Metal beast like that.

However, Lu Xuan had no intentions of continuing to tangle with that beast. He then blitzed like a beam of light, heading for the very depths of the secret realm. There was a majestic cave residence over there that glittered with luminous light. Various barriers were erected there, starting from the entrance and moving outward.

The cave residence had a room that was meant to be used for training in isolation. The layout was very simple, with a jade bed at the very center of the room. There were several tables and chairs around the jade bed, as well as bookshelves that contained all manner of texts.

A jade sword was placed on top of the jade bed. He headed straight for the bed and took up the jade sword. According to the Medicine Man, that jade sword was the most critical piece to controlling the entire secret realm.

Only by internalizing that jade sword could he enter and leave the secret realm as he pleased. He could also control just about everything within the secret realm.

He sat cross-legged right away. Naturally, he had his own way of internalizing the item, which was 10 times faster than the one provided by the Medicine Man. It was almost a ubiquitous method for such purposes; he could quickly internalize the sword.

It took only mere moments for Lu Xuan to open his eyes again.

At that moment, the Geng Metal beast could be heard roaring at the door.

The beast took mere moments to enter the cave residence, yet it didn’t attack Lu Xuan. The beast had instead laid itself down before the jade bed very obediently. The beast’s massive body was left completely vulnerable before Lu Xuan.

Lu Xuan had just tamed the Geng Metal beast.
