Chapter 578 Sif Is Leaving?

Chapter 578 Sif Is Leaving?

Lailah especially was sleeping like she was dead to the world; as she ended up receiving the affections of the entire group as Abaddon had promised.

There wasn\'t a patch of her body below the neck that didn\'t have a bruise, bite, handprint, or a lipstick mark over it.

Abaddon finally shook off the last of his grogginess and realized that the only two of his wives who weren\'t in bed were Tatiana and Lillian.

Lillian had always been a bit of an early bird ever since she was a nanny, and the habit sort of stuck.

She was normally the first one out of bed and spent the morning playing with the children or in Straga\'s case, helping him get ready for school.

Tati was almost the same, but she preferred to get up and start cooking first thing in the morning so that her family could have something to eat when they first woke up.

And as he was prone to do... Abaddon decided to go and harass them just a bit before visiting the old couple today.

He popped out of bed and bathed quickly before bolting from his bedroom, his mind already filling with lewd pranks and tricks that he could play.

As he bounded down the staircase, he prepared to go and put whip cream on some very specific parts of Tatiana when he ran into someone he had gradually been getting used to seeing more and more.

"Mornin, Rapunzel!"

Sif felt a vein bulge in her head at the resurgence of her new nickname; courtesy of the long and thick French braid that swung behind her back.

"...An all powerful demonic dragon with a harem of beautiful women who watches \'Disney\' movies with his daughters is such an odd combination."

"Are you trying to discourage me for having interests outside of sex and murder? Seems a bit backwards if you ask me."

Sif rolled her eyes as she looked Abaddon up and down. "Demeter told me about your amusing tendency for... I\'m sorry." she realized.

Abaddon smiled wryly as he draped his arm around the golden-haired goddess and the two of them began walking down the hall. "I\'ve told you, I\'m an adult. I\'m not incapable of hearing about her and remaining positive."

"You say that, but..."

"Are you thinking less of me?"

"Almost always."

Abaddon proceeded to flick her on the forehead, and she paid his assault by stepping on his tail.

"...She misses you, you know?" She replied after a moment of silence.

"And I miss her." he said immediately. "So very much."

"Then go see her, beast."

"You know better than I that nothing has changed. I\'ll only hurt us both if I seek her out now."

Sif knew that Abaddon was right, but that didn\'t mean she necessarily liked it.

It\'s hard to watch two of your friends stop speaking to each other, and even harder when neither one are particularly wrong for feeling the way that they do.

She wished that she could just snap her fingers and get the both of them to stop all of this silliness and be friends again.

Especially with what she had to tell him today...

"I\'m sorry... you seem like you were in a good mood before I brought up something unpleasant." Sif said as she tried to buy herself time.

Abaddon shrugged and his smile quickly returned to his face.

"It\'s fine. It isn\'t hard to be in a good mood when you have such... excitable partners."

"Gross." Sif rolled her eyes. "I can\'t believe innocent looking Lillian lets you put your thing there..."

"Lets me? It was her idea the first time."

"I don\'t believe it! You\'re such a manwhore that I\'m sure you must have tricked her into it somehow."

"By the gods, what do you think of me...?" Abaddon pretended to look hurt.

"You are..." For some reason, Sif\'s cheeks changed into a light shade of pink and she suddenly stopped in her tracks.

Abaddon tilted his head somewhat, as he watched her gaze drop to the floor. "Sif?"

"I thought I was Rapunzel..?" she laughed dryly.

"Don\'t make jokes. What\'s the matter with you all of a sudden?"

Sif did something completely unexpected in that moment.

She lunged for Abaddon, and wrapped her arms around his midsection.

As he was quite a bit taller than hermit looked similar to a middle schooler hugging a grown adult.

By this point, Abaddon was practically in a full blown panic.

Sif wasn\'t a hugger.

The only reason she let him touch her at all was because he kept pestering her and she eventually got tired of slapping his hand away.

So now that she was suddenly embracing him out of the blue and of her own volition, he feared the worst.

He was worried she was about to tell him that she\'d contracted some sort of mythical cancer and wasn\'t long for this earthly plane.

But no, the truth was somehow much worse than that.

"I think that... it is time for me to go home."

Gobsmacked, Abaddon pried Sif off of his body and stared at her with clear shock in his eyes.

"Sif... What are you saying?"

She smiled at him as she lowered her head respectfully.

"I... truly appreciate everything that you have done for me, Abaddon, but I need to go now. Please send me home."

Abaddon couldn\'t believe it.

Sif wanted to leave.

And she was serious.

The fact that he would lose another friend didn\'t concern him nearly as much as something else did in that moment.

"So... after all of your words you will abandon our daughter a second time?"

Sif was hurt by Abaddon\'s accusation, and her face went red as small tears threatened to run from her eyes.

"You… bastard! How dare you bring that up! I would never abandon her again! But I have other children who I also cannot leave behind just because I want to stay here with you!"

"...With me?"

"W-With all of you, I mean." Sif corrected herself as she turned away.

Abaddon nodded slowly in understanding. "I see... im sorry for what I said, but why didn\'t you just say you wanted them here?"

"I-" Sif began.

"Zheng."

As always, with one single call, the shadowy assassin arrived within the manor in a split second.

A pool of shadows opened up beside Abaddon and Sif\'s feet, and Zheng\'s head popped out of the ground.

"My lord."

"Go kidnap Sif\'s son and daughter."

"Right away, lor-"

"Nooo!!" Sif stepped on Zheng\'s head like a wack-a-mole and sent him back into the darkness.

"You cannot just kidnap my children, you\'ll frighten them!" Sif reprimanded. "I will go to see them myself."

Abaddon was trying to be understanding now that he knew what this sudden request was about, but his refusal was still swift.

"Sif... no. The angels have likely already told anyone who would listen about your residence here. It is far too dangerous."

No one needed to tell Sif that, as it was already something she had considered.

Much in the same way that Christians view murder and adultery, the Nords view betrayal as something equally reprehensible.

If the pantheon already knew of her close relationship with Abaddon, it was no longer a question of \'if\' they would kill her, but \'when\' and \'how\'.

But Sif didn\'t need to convince the whole nordic faction to trust her.

She just needed to get in contact with two, very specific people.

"I\'ve told you my plans already... please respect them and let me go home. I will return once I have brought my children with me." She pleaded softly.

Normally, Abaddon would have let it go.

Sif was an adult, and he wasn\'t really in the habit of trying to talk grown-ups out of their decisions one way or another.

The only difference in this scenario was, Sif was practically family.

No, she already was family.

She had a nickname and all!

And he could not in good conscience allow her to risk her life in this manner.

"No." he said firmly.

Sif clenched her fists as she glared at Abaddon like she was going to strike him.

"So after all of your bluster about this being my home and being free to come and go as I please... I am still just a prisoner?"

Abaddon\'s expression softened as he clasped Sif on the shoulders.

"Of course you aren\'t... you are the mother of my first born, and a very unlikely friend. I am asking you to please trust me so that we don\'t lose you just as we are getting to know you."

Sif certainly felt like she liked certain parts of Abaddon\'s words, but there were also definitely parts that she hated.

She would not admit to herself exactly what those parts were.

"What\'s going on in here?"

Miraculously, Lillian emerged from around the corner, looking absolutely stunning.

Her soft orange skin was wrapped in a sophisticated black robe that hardly withheld her massive breasts from spilling out.

As it was still the morning, traces of last night\'s steamy affair could still be seen on her chest, neck, and thighs.

At the sight of her, Abaddon temporarily forgot exactly what was wrong.

Just temporarily though.

"What\'s gotten into you two..? You\'re not fighting, are you?"

"N-No, Lillian..." Sif said in embarrassment.

She didn\'t want to, but her mind was going back to her earlier conversation with Abaddon and she was remembering certain proclivities that he claimed she had.

\'I-It can\'t be true.. she\'s too pure and good!\'

With her full hips swaying beneath the fabric of her robe, Lillian walked up to her husband and kissed him on the cheek before she gave Sif a customary hug.

But the second that she touched her, Lillian flinched as if a shotgun blast had just gone off in her ear.

"L-Lillian?"

"My love, are you alright?"

Lillian winced as she cuped Sif\'s face in her hands.

For the first time ever, Sif saw actual tears form in the bright green eyes of the normally cheerful dragon goddess.

"My sweet friend... Who would ever wish to harm you so terribly?"

It was then that Sif remembered a particular oddity about Lillian that she always seemed to forget.

She was a death goddess.

Their ability to sense an untimely end on a person\'s path came second only to the actual aspects of death themselves.

Out of the corner of her eye, Sif saw Abaddon giving her an \'I told you it was a bad idea\' look.

"Shut up, slut dragon..." she grumbled shamefully.

"I didn\'t even say anything though." he smiled discreetly.

"Your face is loud."

Abaddon\'s smirk was immediately wiped away. "I truly do not like you."

Sif said nothing, but her eyes became just a hint sadder.

\'Of that... I am already aware.\'
